About the Author
Joshua McGee, 25, hails from Newcastle, Ont., east of Toronto. A graduate of both Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ont., and Toronto’s Ryerson University, he is a lifelong fan of the Canadian Football League and, in particular, the Toronto Argonauts.
He has attended seven Grey Cups, his first being the 82nd edition in 1994 in Vancouver. He was all of 22 months old. His personal favourites remain, of course, the 2012 Grey Cup in Toronto, and the 2004 Grey Cup in Ottawa, both won by the good guys.
He is also a dedicated follower of U Sports (formerly CIS) football and has been to three Vanier Cups. Unfortunately, the Golden Hawks weren’t in any of those.
A season ticket holder who bleeds Double Blue, Joshua can be found rallying the troops and furiously waving his Argo flag in Section 225 at BMO Field.
He has written previously for The Globe and Mail and, as founder of Toronto Football Talk, his goal is to establish a website dedicated to all things football in the Greater Toronto Area. That means the Argonauts, university football and any other notable football events in the city. He may even occasionally focus on Hamilton, but only when he’s in a particularly nasty mood.
